Some Locations may incur additional shipping charges. We will notify you of any additional charges before proceeding with shipment. A Customer Service Representative will contact you with details on these additional charges once they have reviewed your order If necessary.
All parcels shipping within Canada through Canada Post include $100 insurance, for additional insurance, please contact Backcountry Supplies through email or by phone. Fees will vary depending on the insured amount.
AMMUNITION, POWDERS, PRIMERS and DANGEROUS/HAZARDOUS GOODS:
(These items can only be delivered to you PAL address as mandated the RCMP)
Firearms and ammunition purchases, by law, require the appropriate firearms license. We will require your PAL information for these products. Restricted purchases also require the gun club or range name you are a member of and your city/town of birth.
A signature is required with photo I.D. when the product arrives at your door. Ammunition will be shipped separately from any firearms order. Ammunition and firearms can only be shipped to the address associated with your firearm license.
Please note restricted firearms do not ship until transfers are complete. Expedited shipping can be provided for restricted firearms only after government registration has been processed.

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will provide a refund or exchange the item within 90 days of purchase. Whether you made your purchase online or in a store, you may return or exchange it by mail or in store. If you are in any way unhappy with your purchase, please contact us, we will do our best to make things right!
Returned items must be accompanied by a receipt and in saleable condition. Products will be refunded at the original purchase price, plus applicable sales tax, in the original payment method. Items returned with a gift receipt will be refunded in the form of a gift card.
Shipping fees charged at time of order will not be refunded and the cost of return shipping will be the responsibility of the customer. We do not accept COD orders. We will cover the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
Backcountry Supplies reserves the right to limit or decline returns and exchanges. Ammunition, gunpowders, and primers may not be returned due to safety considerations.
Simply contact us by email, phone, or in person and we will arrange to reverse the transaction. We will also give you a Return Authorization Number that needs to be included in the package when you ship it back to us.
Some products we sell are covered by a manufacturer's warranty that requires items to be sent directly to the manufacturer for replacement or repair.
Final Sale items that cannot be returned include:
- Ammunition, gun powder, primers or reloading components
- Binary explosive products (Tannerite and Sonic Boom)
- Arrows (once cut to length)
- Bear or dog spray
- Scopes (Once Mounted)
- Food processing equipment
- Footwear insoles
- Gift Cards and E-Gift Cards
- Tree stands and ladder stands
- Special Orders

Please contact Backcountry Supplies before any product is shipped back to sender to comfirm your order qualifies for a refund. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping cost will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Returned To Sender:
Backcountry Supplies will offer a refund on the products being “Returned to Sender” by shipping carriers, once the shipment has arrived. If the receiver is determined to be at fault for the package being “Returned to Sender”, Backcountry Supplies will subtract the return shipping fee from the product refund.
Some examples of the receiver being at fault are:
- Package denied by receiver
- Package waiting at shipping department past there allowed holding period (Ex: Canada Post - 15 days)
